Keith Flint, the magnetic frontman of The Prodigy has died at his home in Essex, aged 49. His death has left the industry and fans both shocked and devastated across the world.

The Prodigy’s co-founder Liam Howlett confirmed Flint took his own life over the weekend, in an Instagram post last night:

The English trio were true pioneers of the electronic sound which erupted out of the acid house scene in the late ‘80s – early ’90s. The band helped take rave music from a small community of party-goers to an international audience. Flint was known for his distinctive look, astounding energy and manic stage presence.
