US rapper/singer/songwriter/flautist Lizzo is set to make her Aussie headlining debut in serious style.
The Detroit-born artist has announced she’ll hit the Sydney Opera House’s Concert Hall stage next year on January 6, and Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on January 8, in addition to her FOMO Festival shows in Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, with sets to highlight all the hits from her album Cuz I Love You.
The Opera House performance forms one part of the year-round Sydney Opera House Contemporary Music program, which is set to feature Solange, Nils Frahm, DJ Koze, Derrick May, Helena Hauff, Jon Hopkins, Ella Mai, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, Ludovico Einaudi and Joep Beving.
A pre-sale starts on Wednesday, November 20 at 12pm AEDT, while tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, November 21, also at 12pm AEDT.
