If you have a 64-bit Apple i-device and the thought of creating and playing your own wild bleeps and blorps appeals, then the fine Moog folk have your back.

For a limited time they’ve made their super-cool Minimoog Model D app free.

It’s no gimmicky thing, either. The app is a mobile incarnation of what was the world’s first portable synthesizer, originally released back in 1970. You’d have heard the machine in myriad songs ranging from full-on electronic through to rock over the years.

The app includes over 160 preset sounds (with more available at a price), or you can fiddle about and create your own.
