It may sound like a belated April Fools gag, but it’s true… Neil Finn has joined Fleetwood Mac.
The former Split Enz and Crowded House legend has confirmed the news in a simple tweet…
Snow warnings for parts of the country, the mystery of Stonehenge solved and yes I’ve joined Fleetwood Mac

This follows the dramatic sacking of the Mac’s Lindsay Buckingham before an upcoming tour, following what must have been a full-on disagreement. This is news that has left many a fan unhappy.
It’s actually taking two to replace Buckingham, with Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers also joining the band.
“Fleetwood Mac has always been about an amazing collection of songs that are performed with a unique blend of talents,” said band founder Mick Fleetwood in a released statement. “We jammed with Mike and Neil and the chemistry really worked and let the band realise that this is the right combination to go forward with in Fleetwood Mac style. We know we have something new, yet it’s got the unmistakable Mac sound.”
We wonder if they’ll give any of Neil’s songs the Mac treatment?
