Vance Joy has let out a new single in ‘Lay it on Me’, the first taste of new stuff since his world-conquering 2014 album Dream Your Life Away.

Complete with anthemic “oh-oh-oh”-infused chorus, Joy says of the song, “I had this guitar riff I had been playing for ages but had never found a home for. When it was glued together with a lyric I had in my phone, ‘everything starts at your skin’, the song started to make sense.”

A handful of tour dates have also been announced…

Thursday, November 23 at the Enmore Theatre, Sydney (all ages) | Ph: 132 849

Festival-wise, Joy will be performing Friday, July 21 at Splendour in the Grass in Byron and Saturday, November 25 at the Spilt Milk Festival in Canberra.

Here’s ‘Lay it on Me’ accompanied by a stunning video – if the chick looks familar, she’s actress Angela Sarafyan from the TV series Westworld.
