The legendary Jane’s Addiction are preparing to let loose a live movie spectacular to celebrate 25 years since the release of their also legendary album, Ritual de lo Habitual.
Ritual de lo Habitual Live from Irvine Meadows will see the band performing the entire album live (along with a bunch of other favourites), complete with the core Jane’s Addiction line-up of Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Chris Chaney.
Filmed via 20 cameras in full 4K Ultra High Definition and recorded in 5.1 sound, versions of Ritual de lo Habitual Live from Irvine Meadows will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, CD and vinyl this August.
It was filmed in 2015 at California’s Irvine Meadows Ampitheatre, which was home to the first ever Lollapalooza – initially conceived to be a farewell from Jane’s Addiction. The venue has since been bulldozed.
Anyway, here’s a tantalising sneak peek…
