Musicians have lives too. They’re not just chained to their instrument of choice and whipped into pumping out lyrics all day (well, maybe some of the kinkier ones may be). Anyway, a great example is Nick Cave’s latest thing – a skateboard design.
A collaboration with Aussie skate company Fast Times, the deck features artwork from San Francisco’s famed rock artist Chuck Sperry, along with a lyrical snatch from Cave’s Heathen Child – “Hey little Moo Moo, light as a rainbow.” Somewhat appropriately, that track comes from the second album by Grinderman, Cave’s side-project band.
The deck design is available in both street and cruiser configurations, and there’s even a matching T-shirt.
It’s actually the second such collaboration between the three, with a board featuring Sperry art and lyrics from Cave’s Nature Boy having hit in 2015. It looked a lot like this…
