Keith Urban has let loose a super-catchy new single called Out the Cage, with a little help from friends Nile Rodgers and Breland.
We’re not sure where the ‘of’ went from the title, but who are we to question Mr Urban? After all, he does mightily rock a banjo!
The song has its roots in a style that few would associate Keith with, ’90s electronica.
“The freneticism of the rhythm makes me wanna take off and start running or… just break something,” he says. “Out the Cage began with an idea I had to build upon a ’90s English house breakbeat rhythm; I’ve always loved Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, those kinds of rhythmic energies.”
The track hails from Keith’s latest long-player, The Speed of Now Part 1, which Keith will be touring later this year, with special guests Birds of Tokyo. Grab ticket info here, and dates are as follows:
