Is Sia a singer? Is she a songwriter? Is she a performance artist? Duh, she’s all that and more – yet, just like us mere mortals, she’s not averse to moving home.

Sia has signed a new record deal with label Atlantic for everywhere but Australia (she’s quite happy here with Inertia), the first fruits for which will be a Christmas album later this year. A collaboration with producer and co-conspirator Greg Kurstin (who’s most recently completed the new Foo Fighters album), it will feature original tracks with a “holiday” theme.

Aww, so no Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer then?

Sia’s one busy chick, too, as she’s apparently in the midst of putting together a feature film, plus she has two big Aussie dates lined up, with shows at Melbourne’s AAMI Park (November 30) and Sydney’s Allianz Stadium (December 2). These will both also feature the hot line-up of Amy Shark, Charli XCX and M0.
