Aerosol and KeepCups won’t be the only treasures appearing in Melbourne’s laneways this November. Adored Brissie trio Regurgitator are set to headline a new festival which will take us back to ye olde St. Jerome’s days, when a humble alley could become the brightest spot in the CBD for one blessed day.
Civic Sounds will kick into life on Sunday November 18 on AC/DC lane, in conjunction with Melbourne Music Week and beloved establishment-of-the-people, Cherry Bar.
Joining Regurgitator (who will no doubt be playing several bangers from their extremely banger-heavy new album HEADROXX) across the two stages (one in the laneway, one inside Cherry), will be Haitus Kaiyote’s captivating frontwoman Nai Palm, post-punk janglepants cuties RVG, fruity ska-lords on skateboards The Bennies, dark-pop daydreamer Bec Sandridge, charming alt-rock darlings IV League, and a few more you can peep on the delightful poster below.
There’s also going to be food trucks and party DJs, and we don’t all have to smoosh into Cherry to get a tin because they’re also putting on extra outdoor bars!
It’ll run from noon ’til 10pm, and you can get your tickets right here.
