The Killers have announced details of their seventh long-player, Pressure Machine, and it’s due for release surprisingly soon.

Set to launch on August 13, the album has been co-produced by the same mix of people – the band plus Shawn Everett and Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado – who worked on last year’s Imploding the Mirage.

The speedy follow-up is a rare case of something good coming from the worldwide COVID fiasco, as Brandon Flowers explains.

“Everything came to this grinding halt, and it was the first time in a long time for me that I was faced with silence. And out of that silence this record began to bloom, full of songs that would have otherwise been too quiet and drowned out by the noise of typical Killers records.”

Meanwhile, The Killers are set to return to Australia in 2022 for a tour, with dates to be confirmed.
