Two-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and all-round wholesome and hilarious jazzman Gregory Porter has just launched an extremely cute cooking series, which celebrates food, music, family and giving back.
In episode one, Porter tackles the delicious Russian beetroot soup dish, borsch. Why? Well, firstly it’s his wife’s family recipe, but also because the first stamp he ever got in his passport once he began touring, he reveals, was in Russia. The whole video is delightful, but our fave bit could be when Porter invites his adorable son into frame for the taste test.
“Food is not just food,” Porter says. “It’s family, it’s tradition, it’s roots – and that’s what music is.” Honestly, we just can’t wait to see the rest of this series. Watch below!
