Record two-time Australian Music Prize-winner Sampa The Great has delivered an ‘at home’ Tiny Desk Concert, part of NPR’s Black History Month series.
Filmed in Lusaka – the capital of the Melbourne-residing rapper and vocalist’s home country of Zambia – Sampa Tembo’s set features a seven-piece band performing the tracks Rhymes To The East, Mwana, Freedom and Final Form. The last three songs come from her astonishing multi-ARIA-winning 2019 album The Return, our review of which you can read here.
