Bless “Weird Al” Yankovic, he’s up for almost anything, and he’s been consistently fun since he first entered our worlds way back in the 1980s.

Having recently appeared onstage with Weezer, he’s now gone one step further, and stars as the Californian band’s Rivers Cuomo in a video clip for the much-publicised – and alarmingly faithful – Weezer take on Toto’s Africa.

The clip, bearing more than a passing resemblance to the one for the song that put them on the map, Undone – The Sweater Song, sees an almost – almost – unrecognisable Weird Al doing his thing. His thing, of course, includes a full-on accordion solo – even if the whole thing is mimed. There are no doggos though.

It’s a whole lot of fun, but we really wouldn’t mind so much if it marks the end of Weezer’s dalliance with Toto.

Bonus! Here’s the classic that we mentioned above…
