Wolf Alice, and in particular their quite brilliant Visions of a Life album, have beaten out some seriously big competition to take home this year’s Mercury Music Prize.
The likes of Arctic Monkeys, Florence + the Machine, Lily Allen and Noel Gallagher are just some of those who went home empty-handed.
Wolf Alice had previously been nominated in 2015 for their debut album My Love Is Cool, but were beaten to the punch by ex-busker Benjamin Clementine and his album At Least for Now.
The band receive a hefty cheque for for £25,000.
