Must-hear track: Buster Cannon

KLLO

Sounds like: The coolest pool party you’ve ever been to.

Must-hear track: Walls To Build

Baro

Sounds like: The Footscray line after the station got its upgrade. Street but clean.

A little about: This Ethiopia-born Melbourne MC may only has been bouncing around for a little, while but call it intuition (or wishful thinking) – this is Baro’s year.

For fans of: Remi, ESESE, Allday

Must-hear track: Bears ft. Venus Court

The Football Club

Sounds like: Beers with mates.

A little about: Straight outta Footscray, The Football Club create songs to be sung along with, tinnie raised in the air and arm around a mate.

Holly Macve

Sounds like: Remember Lurleen Lumpkin from The Simpsons?

A little about: Lancashire country lassie Holly Macve has a debut album coming out this year that will have you swilling a solemn beer one minute and swinging your partner around the dance floor the next. A female Johnny Cash, an English Dolly Parton, Lana Del Ray fronting Mazzy Star – all are applicable.
