Simple Minds and The B-52s are teaming up for what promises to be a terrific Summer nostalgia fest.

The much-loved 80s/90s icons will play indoor concerts at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena (February 7) and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion (February 9), along with a series of  A Day On The Green shows (February 2-12) across Australia.

Simple Minds, best known for hits like Don’t You (Forget About Me) and Alive and Kicking, are currently working on a follow-up to 2014’s well-received Big Music, and this will be Jim Kerr and his crew’s first major tour in four years.

The B-52s – whose hits include Love Shack and Rock Lobster – will be without co-founder Keith Strickland, but the other original members Fred Schneider, Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson are looking forward to their first jaunt Down Under in seven years.

Pre-sales begin on August 18.
