It’s Tuesday at STACK HQ, and that means one of our esteemed staff members picks a ditty they’re listening to today and explains why they’re so fond of it. Today’s tune: Sheryl Crow’s Strong Enough, chosen by STACK’s Zoë Radas.
I recently watched an old performance of this super beautiful and vulnerable song in which Sheryl invited Stevie Nicks on stage to sing with her, and Stevie told a story about when she’d first heard the track. She said: “For women like Sheryl and I who have this kind of extreme career, every time we meet a new nice man, it crosses our mind: ‘Are you strong enough to possibly deal with my incredibly odd life?'” Snaps to the wonderful dudes who have loved and been loved by Sheryl and Stevie along the course of the women’s awe-inspiring careers. Further watching: HAIM’s Like A Version of the song.
