Ever wanted to write like a musical genius? Well, they may not give you any actual talent, but a new series of fonts based on a quintet of musical legends may help your work look the part.
Simply titled ‘ Songwriter Fonts’, they have apparently been based upon original handwritten letters and notes from the much-missed David Bowie, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Leonard Cohen and Serge Gainsbourg.
According to co-creator Julien Sens, these fonts will allow the user to “Write songs as the ones who inspired you before. The Songwriters fonts have been created to give musicians inspiration. Writing lyrics with the handwriting of influential songwriters helps imagination to develop. Being in the mood of Bowie, Cobain, Cohen, Gainsbourg, Lennon, might be purely imaginative… but that’s precisely the point.”
The fonts are free for non-commercial use, and are available to download here.
